    New research adds to the evidence that smoking may be a major cause of erectile dysfunction. Both smoking and erectile dysfunction have often been associated with plaque build-up in the arteries, called atherosclerosis.     Researchers in Germany are testing a vegetable-based Viagra alternative that they say works even better than the famous impotence treatment for some men.     Origin of the "Viagra" Name

    The origin of the name Viagra is broken down as such: VI is the prefix which suggests vigor and vitality. The rhyming with Niagara it further suggests “a mighty flow”. On a lighter note many manufacturers like to begin the names of drugs with “v” or “z” because they are unusual and the mind automatically assumes that these drugs are newer.     Is There a Difference Between Cialis and Viagra?

    The popular little blue pill by drugmaker Pfizer, has racked up nearly $1.8 billion in sales each year since it was introduced in 1998. But the hype surrounding another drug Cialis, which is produced through a joint venture between Eli Lilly and Icos, has started a friendly competition between the two erectile dysfunction drug producers.
